ALCOCHETE is a Portuguese village with fifteen thousand inhabitants, integrated into the district of Setúbal, a region of Lisbon. It’s the headquarter of the Natural Park of the Estuary of the “Tejo”, which still possesses some active salt mines and where flocks of flamingos come home to nest. Alcochete is known for its tauromáquica tradition (bullfighting tradition) and its proximity to the longest bridge of Europe, Vasco of Gamma (17 km in length).
