ARCELLA (District 2 North) is the north zone of the town of Padua, until Pontevigodarzere. Its boundary quite outlined from the railroad Venice-Milan to south (with the town centre) and from the bypass to north (with Pontevigodarzere). It is known as the place of the death of Sant'' Antonio (the event is remembered with the sanctuary) and it was the agricultural suburb of Padua until the II World War. The Arcella lived in the post-war period a raging urban development, until the achievement of the present 50 thousand residents. The future metro- tram will connect it even better with the town centre.
