CENTRAL LUXURY

I could not recommend this apartment enough or the lady that we dealt with, she was just a delight, to be welcomed with a cool drink and food was the best . And after just coming from the worst apartment and rudest people we have ever dealt with, I can only say she made our trip more enjoyable and the apartment was just amazing, as I said could not recommend it highly enough,,, thankyou thankyou thankyou for a amazing time

What not to miss in Milan

The Duomo is Milan’s symbol and the biggest cathedral in Italy, fifth biggest in the world, a perfect example of Gothic architecture with its impressive facade. The Castello Sforzesco was the residence of one of the city’s most influential families, the Sforza-Viscontis. Today, it’s an interesting museum, just like the Galleria d’Arte Moderna, where you can enjoy 19th-century Italian art. Milan is also the home of the famous La Scala Theatre, where watching an opera inside will definitely be one of your life’s highlights. Being a fashion capital, you can find all the most exclusive boutiques in the Fashion Quadrangle, a series of streets perfect for those who love to shop in exclusive places. If you like sport, don’t miss out on a football match at the Stadio San Siro of AC Milan or Internazionale.

Districts in Milan

All the important places worth visiting in Milan are located in the Centro Storico, the central area from where the city expands. Without doubt, try and find your apartments in Milan in this area as you’ll have everything within reach. The rest of the districts, such as Fiera and Vittoria are residential neighbourhoods built in the 20th century. Città Studi is where most students in the city reside.

The best time to come to Milan

Like in most of Italy, although with the city being a bit further north it isn’t as extreme, the summers in Milan are hot and most of the city closes for the holidays. That’s why spring and autumn are the best times to come and visit, since it’s quite cold in the winter and there isn’t much rain, just like it is throughout the year.

Getting around Milan

Milan has an excellent Metro network with which you can get around the whole city with ease, although if you visit the Centro Storico, it’s best to do it by foot since the distances aren’t too far. Milan has its Malpensa Airport which connects the city with the whole world and Bergamo Airport 35 miles away, which is where the low-cost airlines fly to.

Festivals in Milan

Being a city that lives and breathes fashion, Milan has two Fashion Weeks, one in February/March and the other one in September/October, with all the brands showing off their new collections. In the city, markets are also very popular, especially during the festivals of Santo Ambrogio and Del Naviglio, which take place in December and June respectively, a great time to come on holiday to Milan and enjoy the city’s most authentic side.
