CLUJ-NAPOCA. Cluj-Napoca is situated in the northwest of Romania, 440 kilometres away from Bucharest. Most of the old buildings of the city have been demolished in order to built new structures according to the new terms, but the gothic buildings built before the XVI century have been preserved for their symbolic value. You will be able to visit many religious sites, museums and galleries. To take a walk in a natural environment you can find the central park and the Park of the Citadel. Cluj-Napoca offers many events and festivals during all year. The public-transport network of Cluj-Napoca is composed by three lines of tram, six lines of trolleybus and about thirty lines of bus.

The apartment we rented in Cluj from Hotel Confort was very good. It was even big enough to invite friends. Facilities are very good and the staff of the hotel was very friendly. We enjoyed staying there mid December 2009.
You could say the location is a bit out of the centre of the town (20 minute walk) but taxis are very cheap on the other hand.
