ARSENALE. The arsenal of Venice is located in the eastern part of the main island of the lagoon, a few steps away from the centre and the main tourist attractions of the city.
It is a large complex with shipyards and offices, built in the beginning of the XII century, where the vessels that marked Venice’s maritime supremacy have been constructed for years.
The arsenal worked until the XX century and it is considered as one of the first factories in the world. Currently, visits are permitted only on few occasions and it is protected by the Navy, even if it is partly used for exhibitions of the “Biennale di Venezia”.

The appartment was very comfortable and new. The owner and the ´landlady´were very kind and helpfull. The location was perfect: among Venetian people but also very close to San Marco and Arsenale (Biennale). Local shops around the corner.

Kleines, aber sehr sauberes uns gut ausgestattetes Appartement. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Ruhige Gegend.
Die nächstgelegene Haltestelle (3 min) wird ab 20.00 Uhr nicht mehr angefahren. Ab dann Fussweg ca. 20 min. von der Abend-Haltestelle. Keine unmittelbaren Bars.
