DISTRICT 3 - LANDSTRASSE. Since 1850 Landstraße forms the 3rd District of Vienna. It is located approximately 2km southeast from the city centre. The district lies on the shores of river Danube, in the south, at the bottom of hill “Laaer Berg”. In this area there are many interesting buildings: the Palace Schwarzenberg on the “Schwarzenberg Platz” Square, the baroque castle Belvedere with its art gallery and the gardens, the palace Rasumofsky, the house “Hundertwasser”, the Arsenal, and many more. This area is also interesting for cultural activities and entertainment: concerts at “Wiener Konzerthaus”, several theatres, the city cinema, and the alternative cultural centre called “Arena”, or the Jazz-Club “Birdland”. There are excellent connections: you can reach the centre of Vienna by tram, bus and subway, but also by walk.

Wir haben drei tolle Tage in Wien verbracht und hatten das Glueck, in diesem gemuetlichen Appartment mit Blick auf das Huntertwasserhaus und guter Anbindung zur Stadtmitte, die auch zu Fuss erereichbar ist, zu wohnen. Das Haus ist sauber und ruhig, die Nachbarn freundlich, die Gegend okay mit Baeckerei, Supermarkt und Strassenbahhaltestelle (die 1) in unkittelbarer Naehe. Abends haben wir in der modernen, sauberen und gut ausgestatteten Kuechenecke gekocht und den Tag bei schoenem Essen und einem Gals Wein ausklingen lassen. Da wir auf einem Trip nach Osteuropa waren, sind wir mit dem Auto unterwegs gewesen. Dieses konnten wir gegen eine Gebuehr von 20 Euro am Tag in der Tiefgarage parken. Nach negativen Erfahrungen mit Blechschaden oder unbezahlbaren Parkgelegenheiten in verschiedenen europaeischen Grossstaeden, war das fuer uns zumindest eine gute Loesung. Die Wohnung ist sehr zu empfehlen, zumal auch die Kontaktperson/ der Inhalber sehr nett und unkompliziert ist.

Location is good, 25 min walk to the centre, apartment is clean and cosy but...
...the sofa bed is unfortunately too uncomfortable to sleep on. An information for the owner; the gas station is 5 min drive from the apartment.

ottimo appartamento,nuovissimo e arredato con ottimo gusto; tv lcd 42" con lettore dvd.zona tranquilla e abbastanza vicina alla fermata della metro.
