With history facts relating to the XVIth century, this old fishermen town, known as well as “White Fiancé of the Sea”, neighbourhood of the municipality of Olhão, is 6 km far from Olhão and 11km from Tavira. Initially it was used as a place to stock the instruments from the fishing activity. Later, thanks to the easy access to the sea, the fishermen finished by settling and construct their houses. Placed in the protected area of the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, it is possible to observe sea fruits aquaculture. Other sightseeing spots are the First Church of Fuseta (Igreja Matriz de Fuseta) and Tower of Bias (Torre de Bias).
