Amalfi District Source
- VALLE DEI MULINI. Amalfi is a small city in Salerno province and it lends its name to the coast, “Costiera Amalfitana” declared as a World Humanity Patrimony by UNESCO some years ago.
Valle de Mulini is situated in the northern part of the centre and it is divided by the River Canneto. The area, which is an unpolluted and luxurious one, is well know for the presence of some of the oldest paper industries in Europe (Amalfi paper is very prestigious since XII century).
In a few minutes you can get to Amalfi city centre, where you can find restaurants, bars, pizzerias, cinemas and pubs or enjoy the wonderful view of the sea.
- VETTICA MINORE. The village of Vettica Minore belongs to the municipality of Amalfi (in the province of Salerno, Campania region). It is part of the Amalfi coast and is only 3 kilometres away from the famous town of Amalfi. You will be captured from the suggestive view and the amazing beaches, as well as the naturalistic heritage like, the famous cave “Grotta dello smeraldo” belonging to the village Conca dei Marini, just 2 km far away from Vettica Minore.
It’s also worth visiting the tourist attractions of the area: the Amalfi Cathedral, “Chiostro del Paradiso”, “Museo della Carta” (Paper Museum), “Museo civico” (Civic Museum), “Museo Diocesano” (Diocesan Museum) and “Valle dei Mulini”. The best way to visit the Amalfi coast is by car.
