• CASCO VIEJO. The old city is one of Bilbaos most beautiful zones as it is the heart of the city, there where Bilbao was born. A district in form of a heart if you look from heaven, also you can see the Nervion river in the vincity which lend a lot of carácter to the city. Small stone streets, big bridges, sensational churches as well as a gotic catedral, the catedral of Santiago, are part of the architectonic patrimony of Bilbao. The famous place named ‘’Plaza Nueva’’ was built in the first half of the XIX century is since ever an excelent reference of the city. It’s used for the market and also for public solemn ceremonies. In this district you will also find bars, restaurants and commerces.
