- CENTRO. In the centre of the city you will find square called Plaza de Capuchins, one of the most beautiful in the city. With a great history, this structure gives to the visitor an extensive and beautiful view; furthermore next to the square we find the Slope of the Bailío that communicated the upper and the lower part of the city, where each year is celebrated the popular Festival of the Crossings. The visitor can visit the ruins of the Roman Temple too, testimony of the Romans civilizations that inhabited in Cordoba, as well the Roman mausoleum. Another great pride are two churches situated in the centre of the city; the Church of San Nicolas of the Villa and that of San Miguel, both in "fernandino" style and of a great beauty.
- JUDERÍA. The Judería is a charming white neighbourhood of Cordova abundant with flowers, which serve as a testimony to the Jewish nucleus that existed during the Roman and Visigothic periods. In its western part you can find two illustrious monuments of Cordoba: Seneca, the writer and Roman philosopher and the statue of Averroes. On the Street of the Jews you find the Synagogue, which was constructed in 1315. Close to the Synagogue there is the Municipal Bullfighting Museum, which exposes trophies, suits and posters of Cordoba’s eminent bullfighter natives such as Lagartijo, Machaco, Guerrita, Manolete and El Cordobés. From here you can reach Zoco with its hand crafts shops, and in the summer an Andalusian Flamenco Bar can be found nearby. From here you reach San Bartholomew’s Chapel, the House of the Indian, the minarets that preserve the Church of San Juan and the Convent of Santa Clara, which both date from the 11th century.
- SAN LORENZO. Situated in the historic centre of Cordoba, it takes his name from the homonymous church, one of the most known of the 14 Ferdinand churches, founded on an ancient mosque and built during the second half of the XIII century .
The neighbourhood has a big importance related with the famous Cordoba’s “Patios”, you can still see the most ancient ones, although some of them have disappeared.
The district is known by his big participation during the carnival days. The charm of the place is brought by the big quantity of infrastructures where you can taste typical dishes, together with many shops where you can buy regional souvenirs.
