• JARDIN BOTANIQUE. This small village of fishermen perched to the north of Basse Terre, has important tourist resources but the village knew to remain simple and accessible and not to be "eaten" by mass tourism. This is the calmest and quietest place of the whole Guadeloupe. The houses always made of wood, confer a certain charm to this village. The road that long the Caribbean’s sea allows discovering very nice view to the cost. As the beginning of the colonization, was installed a group of batteries and of fortifications, which you still can see some pieces. The botanical garden is a very beautiful animal and environmental park. Nearby you will find the beach of Grande Anse, this is the most beautiful beach of Basse Terre.
