  • LAATZEN. Laatzen is a city in Lower Saxony and is located in the south of Hanover, directly on the border of the city. The community of Laatzen was first brought to attention in official documents in 1259. The Gothic brick chapel, which during the Second World War was heavily damaged, is an important tourist attraction. Furthermore, there is the aviation museum, a large shopping centre "Leine Center Laatzen" with about 80 stores to go shopping, the park of the senses (Expo project) and the "Southern Leineaue", which is a nature reserve for animals and plants from the region. For the sport activists there is “AquaLaatzium”- the Wellness-Oasis, which offers pool, sauna and fitness. In Laatzen there are also the fairgrounds of Hanover (CeBIT & Hannover-Messe). For this reason there is an excellent public transport system (the ICE train station, the Bus).
  • LINDEN-SÜD. Linden-South belongs to District 10 of Hanover, and is one of the hip quarters of the city. The “Deisterstraße” is like a boulevard, which connects “Linden- mid with Linden -South. Because of the multi cultural population, there is quite a large gastronomic variety. Also included in this part of the city are: the AWD-Arena, the AWD-Hall, the Olympic base of Hanover, a sports school for athletes, numerous soccer and tennis courts, and water sports facilities at the lake ”Maschsee”. Linden-South, is connected to the Hanover S-Bahn with the train station “Linden/ Fischerhof”. There is also the “Kaiser Center”, a sports and play activities building of the former “Kaiser brewery”. Nearby you can find the Tram (only a few stops until old town) as well as several bus lines.
