  • KAZIMIERZ. Is better known as the Jewish neighborhood, of the 14th century, before formed a separate city. It is the second world’s center of Judaic monuments. It has 7 synagogues and Remuh - one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries that remain. Spielberg, at the moment of filming " Schindler''s list ", chose his scenes in Kazimierz. The Jewish neighborhood is especially a place to enjoy a timeless environment, to eat and to drink in the Jewish restaurants, to get lost in the small shops and the galleries of art. The tour begins inevitably by the street Szeroka. From there you have easy access to all the Kazimierz''s important monuments, historical center and Wawel''s Castle.

  • STARE MIASTO. In Old Town nearly every house is of historical value, a number of museums, galleries, churches, theatres, cinemas, whole streets lined with shops, hundreds of cafés, restaurants, pubs. Main Market Square is one of the largest and most beautiful historic squares in Europe. From St Mary''s church every hour a trumpeter plays the Hejnal. The Royal Route leads from here to Wawel Royal Castle. Planty is a ring of greenery that embraces the city centre and reaches the foot of Wawel Hill, where you can still visit the lair with a dragon.

  • PODGÓRZE. The history of Podgórze is connected with the Holocaust of Krakow''s Jews. Worth visiting is the museum housed in the Pharmacy "Under the Eagle”. We go to the Market Square of Podgórze, St Joseph''s Church . Other highlights of the square include the former City Hall of Podgórze and the Classicist Inn "Pod Czarnym Orłem". We pass by Wojciech Bednarski park and reach the St Benedict''s Church, next to the church an element of "Krakow Fortress".   • ZWIERZYNIEC. This district is situated in the South-western part of the city, in a quiet residential area. Every year, in Zwierzyniec monastery is celebrated the picturesque Lajkonik fest, with a dancing procession to the historical centre. With a short walk on the shore of the Vistula you can reach in 10 minutes Wavel Castle or the Market Square. There are also good connections to the centre through the tramway, and you can get to the airport in 35 minutes by bus.

  • KLEPARZ. To the north of Main Square of Krakow, approximately 10 minutes of walk, you will find district Kleparz. Before Kleparz was the independent population. Here you can visit San Florián''s Collegiate church constructed to guard the relics of the pattern of Krakow. Matejka''s Plaza with Grunwald''s monument, is the part of the old market of Kleparz. The colourful, vegetable market Stary Kleparz at Rynek Kleparski, is one of the oldest markets in Poland. A little further north you will find another vegetable market, at the end of ulica Dluga (Long Street), the longest street in Krakow.

  • KROWODRZA. Krakow currently has eighteen administrative districts: Krowodrza is the V, just on the west north from the Main Square. Because of the central location many cultural and education institutions have its branch here. Between them count: National Museum, Library Jagiellońska, The Centre of Student Culture ”Rotunda", Theatre K.T.O., Polish Academy of Science, Football Club „Wisła”. Practically all universities in Krakow have here their branches or main building like Akademia Górniczo Hutnicza (College Mining Metallurgy), as well as a “student village”. Main Streets are: Avenue 3 Maja , Królewska, Avenue Adama Mickiewicza , Avenue Juliusza Słowackiego etc. Nearby you find the biggest meadow (48 ha ) in the middle of town : Błonia Krakowskie.
  • GRZEGÓRZKI. Part of the city that belongs to the district II Grzegórzki. It is mainly industrial in the east part of the city centre. Picturesquely situated between the river embankment of Vístula and the Botanical Gardens. Nowadays Grzegórzecka avenue is one of the most important communication areas in Krakow. At the end of the year 2000, the work on the Kotlarski bridge, which unites Grzegórzki with the area of Podgórzem, finished. The River embankment Vistula is a place where the inhabitants of Grzegórzki relax and walk, from here you can get directly to the centre. Other points of interest are: Collegium Medicum, The Gallery of the town centre Kazimierz , the embankment of the River Vistula as well as Kotlarnia bridge, the Jesuit Church.
  • OLSZA. Olsza is district in Krakow on the north-west from the Old Town: from Roundabout Mogilski to Roundabout Młyński along the streets Brodowicza, Olszyny and Pilotów. It takes 10 minutes by tram or bus to get to Main Market or main railway station. The neighbourhood Nowa Huta has as well very good connections to Olsza. Here you will find shops, restaurants and bars. Main attraction is open air swimming pool called "Krakowianka", open from 1 of June to 31 of August between 10 am and 6 pm. Worth to see, is the Mansion of the Potockich family and it''s adjoining park, from the XVII century.
