  • NAVIGLI. Navigli area is the most visited by Milan residents, due to the presence of numerous restaurants, fashionable bars and ethnic clubs. Some decades ago the Navigli circle, which was constituted by small navigable channels that are almost disappearing, encompassed the historic city centre of Milan. Nowadays the ancient handicraft shops of Milan, which date from the beginning of the century have been replaced by modern shops and restaurants, turning the area into one of shopping, design and clubs. You can also visit the Sanctuary of Santa Rita da Cascia and the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, which is an excellent example of renaissance architecture. There are good connections to the underground, bus and tramway that allow you to reach the main tourist attractions of the city.
  • DUOMO. The Duomo, which represents the symbol of Milan with its “Madonnina”, is situated in the very historical city centre, on the square of the same name and next to the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery. The construction began around 1300 but it was concluded only in 1800 thanks to Napoleon Bonaparte. Not too far away you can visit the main tourist attractions of the centre (Real Palace, Manzoni Museum, …), as well as numerous shops and boutiques that constitute the “fashion area” and Viale Montenero with its bars and clubs. There are excellent connections to the underground (Line 1 and 3), buses (Number 94, 61, 54…) and the tramway (Number 12.15, 23…).
  • PORTA VENEZIA. Porta Venezia is situated the north-eastern part of the Milan centre. Here there are some of the rwell-known avenues of the city, like Corso Venezia or Corso Buenos, with their shops of famous Italian foreign brands that represent the quadrilateral of fashion.
    Very close you can find the Fontana-Silvestri Palace and other buildings of the old Milanese nobility, the Modern Art Gallery (with works of Carrà, Modigliani, Renoir, Matisse and Picasso) and the Public Gardens Indro Montanelli. Excellent connections to the centre, which is also reachable with a pleasant and short walk.

  • PORTA ROMANA. Porta Romana is situated in the southeast zone of Milan. The connections with the public transportation service are excellent and you can get to the city centre or the Central Station in few minutes, catching the underground, the bus or the tramway. In the district there are lots of restaurants, bars, pizzerias, theaters and cinemas and you can also find some of the parks of the city
  • SANT''AMBROGIO. Catching Corso Magenta and turning into Via Carducci, you can find Sant’Ambrogio Church, a fine example of the Romanesque-Lombard churches. It was founded between 379 and 386 by Sant’Ambrogio, patron Saint of Milan, as a basilica dedicated to Christian martyrs. Sant’Ambrogio himself was buried there in 397.
    In the interior of the Basilica of Sant''Ambrogio, one of the most interesting works is represented by the famous Altare d’Oro, a masterpiece of Carolingian gold craftsmanship dating back to 836.The district is considered a quiet residential area, located few steps from the city centre and its main tourist attractions, infrastructures and services.

  • PORTA TENAGLIA. Porta Tenaglia belongs to zone 1 of Milán, and it is situated in the northern part of the city centre.
    It is a calm residential district, in which you can enjoy the quietness of green areas (it is situated between Sempione Park and Indro Montanelli Gardens), and in the same time take advantage for being in the city centre ( with shops, restaurants, boutiques, bars…). Few steps faraway you can reach the Cathedral and the historic city centre, and find numerous art exhibitions and other important cultural destinations.

  • IL TICINESE. Ticinese district belongs to zone 1 of Milan and it is situated in the southern part of the historic city centre, few minutes walking from the Cathedral.
    The main architectural attractions are the Basilica of San Lorenzo with its colonnade and the park, Sant'' Eustorgio Basilica, and Ticinese Door or the “Navigli” (Grande i Pavese). Today it is considered the main place for the Milanese night life, thanks to the presence of numerous bars, pubs, restaurants and meeting points for young people.

  • FIERA. Fiera Milano is easily reachable by car in just 5 minutes (4 kilometres) or with public transport. In fact it is located just a stones throw away from the S line station (FNM), which connects you to the center of Milan in 15 minutes and to Malpensa Airport in 40 minutes. The Rho-Monza speedway is just a few hundred meters away. This highway is connected to all destinations and is very convenient as it by passes the busy traffic in Milan
  • REPUBBLICA. The district Repubblica is situated in the northern part of Milan and it can be considered a calm residential area.
    Just few steps faraway you can find the principal tourist attractions of the city, which are reachable with the public transportation in few minutes.
    The area is included in an important urbanization and commercial modernization project: in the next years, with the creation of a museum and an university, it would became a pole for commerce, culture and the fashion.
    They are furthermore a lot of restaurants, bars, discos and green areas (like the Public Gardens “Montanelli”). Excellent public connections with the subway and buses.

  • STAZIONE CENTRALE. The Main Station of Milan, whose construction began in the beginning of the year 1900 and was concluded in the 30’s as a symbol of the fascist regime, provides an excellent example of Liberty and Art Decó architecture. Today it is one of the most important railroad stations in Europe, with more than 300,000 passengers passing through every day.

    The area is situated in the north-eastern part of the historic city centre and was always considered a residential and popular district. The centre and the Duomo (cathedral) are a few kilometres away, while very close you can find Corso Buenos Aires, which is the main commercial avenue of the city with its numerous shops and boutiques. The station provides direct connections to the underground (Line 2 and 3) and the tram (Numbers: 2, 5, 9, 33).


  • CORSO SEMPIONE. Corso Sempione is an important zone of Milan, with a large avenue which connect to the Arc of the Peace. Modern and elegant, it is well-known for the shops, bars, cinemas, theaters and restaurants that allow you to enjoy the night life of Milan. Next to the complex of the Fair of Milan, it can be considered a calm residential and commercial zone
  • MILANO NORD. Milano Nord district starts just outside the city centre, over Corso Venezia and Corso Buenos Aires, well know for the presence of ethnic restaurants.
    The area, from the beginning of the XX century to the 80’s, has always been considered the commercial and productive pole of the city, most of all in Bicocca zone.
    Nowadays, with the deindustrialization and the construction of the new University, Arcimboldi Theathre, cinemas and infrastructure, it is a young, cultural and residential district.

  • BRERA.Brera, an old district, full of history, art and culture always has been the preferred place by the artists. The place is rich in historic buildings and important monuments, like the Brera gallery,at the moment site of the homonym Accademia di Belle Arti and the Carmine church,situated in the square with the same name.Brera it''s not only tradiction, at the present is a place to shopping the best brands, full of unique "milanese" shops, wonder and vintage workshops,bars,restaurants hard to forget.
  • CITTÁ STUDI. Cittá Studi district is situated in the north-eastern part of Milan, next to the Lambrate district.
    Initially, the name referred to the area around the Politecnico di Milano, one of the best universities in Europe.
    As a result of the urban expansion due to the project of the Second World War, Cittá Studi defined a bigger area, containing universities, meeting centres, consulting and development agencies.
    Nowadays it is one of the most important research areas in Italy and in the world.
    It is also known for being a modern and young district, with many clubs, bars and restaurants which have increased its night life.

  • LESMO. Lesmo is situated in an ideal position between Milan and Monza and represents the perfect destination for tourists or persons interested in the numerous fairs of both cities.
    Few minutes away from the well-known Monza International Formula 1 Circuit, you can also find 7 regional parcs, some hippodromes and Milan Golf Club. Furthermore, you can easily reach Linate and Malpensa Airports. The centre of Milan is just 15 minutes away by train

  • SAN SIRO. San Siro district got its name from an ancient church, which no longer exists and was dedicated to the saint. Nowadays it is well-known for the presence of the stadium and because it is next to the new Fair area. You can get to the historical centre of Milan in a few minutes, catching the underground. In the nearby you can also find lots of luxuriant areas and public parks.


  • VIMODRONE. The area of Vimodrome is situated in the north-eastern part of Milan, just outside the centre. It is an industrial area, but also a quiet residential district (there are a lot of typical XIX century villas). It is not too far from the Milan Fair and the new Rho Fair. You can get to the city centre and Stazione Centrale(central station) in 20 minutes with the underground, while Linate airport is only few kilometres away.
  • CIMIANO-PARCO LAMBRO Northeast from the center, this area developed from the urbanistic point of view after the Second World War. Close there is a big green area the Lambro Park, the so called Milan’s lung. The adjacent area, the Città Studi, is known for Universities and Reasearch Centers and is popular for being considered a young and modern neighbourhood with many bars, clubs and restaurants. Not far away there is the commercial area of Corso Buenos Aires with many shops and boutiques. You can easily reach the city center by metro. The neighbourhood is also well connected to the Linate, Malpensa and Orio al Serio airports.
  • BASIGLIO - MILANO 3. Basiglio is a country in the province of Milan, situated in the southern part of the city about 15 Km faraway. It also includes Milan 3 district and it is considered a residential and high-standard area, appreciated for the quietness and inhabited mainly by celebrities, managers, football players...
    Basiglio and Milan 3 are connected to Milan thanks to the bus line AMP and the “Tangenziale Ovest” Avenue. In few minutes you can reach the historic city centre of Milan.

  • LA BARONA. La Barona is mainly a residential area whose morphology is delimited by the two “navigli” to east and west, by the Agricultural Park South to the south and by the external ring road (Viale Cassala and Tibaldi) to the north. It’s one of the greenest zones of Milan, full of old farms immersed in enormous paddies. The old factories has been restructured and converted in fashion show rooms. For this reason the close Via Tortona has turned out into a new design pole. The district is served by the subway of Milan (M2) and by the suburban railroad service. From the metro stop Romolo and Famagosta you can take buses to the city centre and intercity buses.


  • GARIBALDI. Central district of Milan near the well known Corso Como, Corso Garibaldi and the new district Isola which is becoming the new attractive pole, including alternative cultural centres and many places dedicated to photography, art and to the new tendencies.
    The district is very lively and with many shops of the Old Milan, supermarkets and ethnic bars, discos and fashion restaurants. In 10/15 minute you can reach the historic centre (Duomo-Via Montenapoleone-Manzoni- Via della Spiga).
    Connections with tram and bus stops and metro:Garibaldi-Maciacchini-Zara, also well connected to the new fair in Rho.


  • CASCINA GOBBA. This residential neighbourhood is located north-east to the city centre. Close there is the Istituto Scientifico Universitario San Raffaele. Not too far there is the big green area of Lambro Park. By public transport you can easily reach the Fair, as well as all the tourist attractions and the commercial area, where you will find the boutiques of the great stylists, the trendiest bars and restaurants. The neighbourhood is also very well connected to all main airports: Linate, Malpensa and Bergamo Orio al Serio.
