Minsk District Source
- CENTRE. The central quarter of Minsk is famous for Victory Square where you can see 40-meters granite obelisk with Eternal Flame ( one of the city’s symbol),and enjoy the Central Public Park of Gorky and the Belarusian State Circus. Close by is also Yakuba Kolosa Square, second largest and probably most picturesque square in Minsk, and his Central Market KOMOROVKA, where you can find fresh cheap meal and surely the most popular Russian dainty - black caviar. Nearby you have a lot of cafe, tea-rooms, bars and restaurants and 2 metro stations ( ''Akademia Nauk'' and Oktiabrskaya)
- WOSTOK. Wostok is a modern and residential district next to Minsk old Town. It is surrounded by water channels in two sides, with a lot of parks, tennis court, a swimming pool.
Here you can find the Porsche Center, the Olympic Sport Area, the New Public Library together with shops, restaurants and bars.
The district is well known for being a Meeting and Congress Area: on the main streets you can sometime see political leaders (Putin, Medvedev), that’s why the whole district is considered a safe and very clean and efficient area.
