  • 7-SENDLING WESTPARK: the 7th urban district is situated in the south west of Munich and ranges from the north south circumference from the eighth urban district of Schwanthalerhöhe as far as Obersendling. Characteristic for Sendling-Westpark are the multi-storey houses that are located along the main street. The area is well known for its large allotment of green areas. Ideal for families, there are also numerous playgrounds in the area. Because of the excess of people moving in, the population in the city doubled between 1950 and 1995.
For historical reasons, the war colony is well worth a mention. The housing estate was built in the 1920s for injured people, in order to provide inexpensive privately owned homes to help them.

Today Trudering is a high-quality neighbourhood with nice family houses and well kept residences. This is especially the case since the closure of the airport Riem in 1992, which means that aircraft noise is no longer an issue.
