  • VOMERO is a hillside quarter of Naples, Italy.
    It borders to the north on the quarter of Arenella, to the west on the quarters of Soccavo and Fuorigrotta, to the south on Chiaia and to the east on the quarters of Avvocata and Montecalvario.
    Nowadays Vomero is a residential zone that has conserved little from this rural past. Since the beginning of the 20th century the area has had a dramatic increase in residential housing. During this period, numerous dwellings were built around Villa Floridiana, Castel Sant''Elmo and San Martino, including villas in the late Art Nouveau style and large apartment houses for the upper middle class. Nevertheless, there are still historic buildings near the above-named monuments, such as the Villa del Pontano and an old building of the Bourbon customs office.

  • S. LORENZO-VICARIA. The zone is well-known for the presence of one of the most ancient churches in Naples, the church of San Lorenzo, a gothic example of architecture and a source of literary inspiration for Boccaccio and Petrarca. Surely it can be considered one of the most picturesque and central areas in Naples, with numerous bar, restaurants and pizzerias typical of this ancient district of the city
  • STELLA. The Via Stella is located near the Piazza Cavour, one of the biggest squares of Naples, which is located at the northern part of the Old Town. The Old Town is the heart of Naples, and has something for everyone. This is due to the high number of historic buildings like mysterious catacombs and churches, which you reach through narrow streets.   • PORTICI.Situated to the layers of the Vesuvio and seriously damaged from the eruption of 1631, bloomed again at the times of Carlo III of Bourbon that begin to build in 1738 the famous Real Villa, today university site. Well-known to have been the first Italian railroad, the line Portici – Naples was built to connect the capital with the royal palace. Obligatory visit is the National Railroad Museum of Pietrarsa that fosters of the proud Royal Italian train. In Portici there are numerous villas that are part of the so-called “Gold Mile” of the neapolitan XVII century, built after the interest provoked in the aristocracy from the Vesuvius, from the Royal Palace and from the finding of Herculaneum and of Pompei.

  • PROCIDA The charming island of Procida lies like an undiscovered garden next to its vibrant sister islands Ischia and Capri.
