  • LA PROMENADE DES ANGLAIS. The promenade of the Englishmen is a place of walks renowned in Nice. It is one of the inevitable places to visit in the city and it became a place of date for all amateurs of rollers. Aside from numerous events such as the annual Carnival, the Battle of Flowers, that take place along the Promenade, the Promenade has its blue chairs (chaises bleues) and cabanas perfect for a lazy time along the Mediterranean and for contemplation of the azure blue water of the Bay of Angels (la Baie des Anges). Some buildings edging the promenade of the Englishmen: Palace of Mediterranean Sea, Palace of France Fiora Palais palace of East.
  • CAGNES-SUR-MER. Is a city located about 13 km from Nice. It spreads over four kilometres of the beach and is surrounded by hills. It is the fourth city of the department of the Alpes Marítimos (seaside Alps), it is comprised of a medieval village perched on a hill dominated by the Castillo Grimaldi (Grimaldi Castle), with a modern city and a fishing village at its feet. Places and monuments worth visiting are: The museum of Castle Grimaldi, the Renoir Domain (in 1903 the painter Pierre Auguste Renoir took over the property), a racetrack (one of the most important racetracks in France), the municipal multimedia library, the De Gaulle square…Many artists stayed and worked in Cagnes-sur-Mer, which, until the sixties was known as the “Montmarte of the Coast of Azure”.


  • VIEUX NICE. Old Nice is the oldest part and the heart of the city of Nice. The neighbourhood is animated during the day by the sale of many traditional products (sale of olives and of all sorts of spices, of local vegetables or of flowers of the region), however it is also very modern (with many trendy clothing shops and numerous tattoo parlours). The Palace of Justice of Nice is situated in the heart of Old Nice, just as the Holy Cathedral Réparate, as well as many Squares and Palaces. You will be able to carry out your shopping on the magnificent market of the Cours Saleya. At night, you will find in its narrow streets, restaurants, pubs and discos of all sorts.
  • CARROS VILLAGE. This town is situated 17km to the northwest of Nice. Carros is a very old town that has quickly developed in recent years without losing its ‘old-town’ charm. Carros-village presents a true interest, because of its altitude and the wide panorama, which it offers over the range of the Alps and the Litoral. This old medieval town possesses a castle from the XII century, which is in a perfect state and which dominates the whole area of Carros. The town lanes are charming, with vaulted passages and beautiful tall, flower covered houses with its small shady squares. Some of the historic places worth a visit are: the Church from the XVI century and the feudal castle from the XII century. For leisure activities: there are pedestrian hikes, horse riding and cycling, a swimming pool and tennis.
  • CIMIEZ. Cimiez is the one of the chic neighbourhoods of Nice and it is located in the north of the city. Here you can find the Henri Matisse Museum and the Roman ruins: the arenas, the amphitheatre, the thermal baths and the early Christian Basilica. Nearby you will find the splendid Hotel Régina, which was constructed for the English Aristocracy and principally for Queen Victoria. On top of the hill you will also find the Monastery of Cimiez and the Church of the Franciscan Monks from the XVI century. The monastery gardens, shelter a rose garden, the Matisse Museum, an unbeatable viewpoint of the city and a sea promenade. The painters Henri Matisse and Raoul Dufy are buried in the cemetery of the monastère. There is a good connection with the city centre thanks to the Nice public transport which takes you to the city centre in less than 15 minutes.
