- VERUDELA. Verudela is the peaceful residential zone on the hills of the city of Pula; here you can enjoy the charming sight and the refreshing sea breeze. Under the hill there is a bay where all the private boats are docked; and about seven hundred meters away are the most beautiful beaches of Pula, an area called Punta Verudela. Punta Verudela is also a sports centre with tennis courts, outdoor pools, soccer courts, basketball, mini-golf, volleyball, restaurants, bars, discos and stores.
- CENTAR. Close to the main monuments, this location is the ideal place from which you can explore the city. Just few steps away there is the 1st century AD triumphal arch, the Arch of the Sergii and the Temple of Augustus. Don’t miss to visit the Roman Amphitheatre, known as the Arena, still used for concerts, cinema and theatre festivals. Close there is also the ACI Marina. In this area you will easily find restaurants and shops. During the summer you may spend some time buying fruits end vegetables in the colourful open air market. The easiest way to reach the beaches is by car, although there are also many public buses that take you to the close villages.
- MEDULIN. It is a village that overlooks the homonymous bay. Originally it used to be a fishermen’s village, nowadays it is one of the most important resort towns of southern Istria region. The coast of Medulin is low and mostly sandy with many peninsulas and bays. On the small peninsula of Kaštel ruins of fortified prehistoric constructions have been found. In the area you can hire windsurfs and equipment for scuba diving. You will easily find restaurants, pizzerias, bars, supermarkets and small shops. You can reach the Pula’s centre by a public bus.
