• COPACABANA.Copacabana is one of the most famous neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro. Situated in the south zone of the city, Copacabana has a beautiful beach in the shape of middle moon. The beach extend itself for about 4 kilometres protected by a mountain range of buildings and it goes from the Fort of Copacabana to a solid rock call the Nose of Leme. Behind this rock it situated the famous Pan De Azucar and on the other side of the Fort the not less well-known beach of Ipanema. The neighborhood is full of good restaurants, cines, banks, synagogues, local and theaters.
  
  
  
• BARRA DA TIJUCA.Barra da Tijuca is situated on a large island in the northwest of Rio of Janeiro. It includes 18 kilometres of beaches, one of the biggest of the state, three big lagunas, and some other smaller ones with canals. In this district there are lots of supermarkets and shopping centres. In the shopping malls you can find many cinemas and restaurants.
  
  There is also a fun fair too, it’s called Parque Terra Encantada, where you can spend some funny time.
  
  The district disposes of a commercial airport, for private and regional flights.
  
  
  
• LARANJEIRAS.Laranjeiras is a residential district situated in the south part of Rio de Janeiro, where the middle and middle-high class live. It is surrounded by the neighbourhoods of Santa Teresa, Cosme Velho, Catete, Flamenco and Botafogo. It Is one of the oldest districts of the city, its origin goes back to the XVII century when some sheds were built near the rio Carioca. For this reason the neighbourhood was previously called “Valley of the Carioca”. In this part of the city you can find the Palace Guanabara, home of the State government, the palace Laranjeiras, the park Guinle and the headquarter of the Fluminense football team. The market of Sao Jose also deserves a visit: here art, culture and gastronomy are melted in the same place. You can reach the centre in few minutes by subway.
