  • MONTE MARIO.With its 139m height, Monte Mario is one of the highest parts of Rome. It is a protected natural reserve and a rare example of biological diversity. The astronomical observatory is also placed in this area. For its naturual beauty, this hill is one of the favourite places by the romans who want to have a walk. It is a quiet area but, at the same time, it is well connected to the city center.
  • VATICANO/S.PIETRO.The Vatican area has a unique charm thanks to the majesty of Saint Peter’s Square with its popular Cathedral, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel which each year attract tourists and pilgrim from all over the world. The Vatican was build on the place where Saint Peter was tortured and buried and it is basically constituted by Saint Peter’s square and the Vatican Palaces with their beautiful gardens.
  • EUR. Initially meant to celebrate imperialist ideas of fascism, EUR is nowadays one of the most modern areas in Rome. It represents the classical and rationalist architecture of the time, but offers at the same time numerous museums, monuments and places of interest, like S. Paolo Basilic, the Sanctuary of Three Fountains and the Fair of Rome. Furthermore, you can reach easily the city center, the sea or Fiumicino airport with public transport (underground or bus)
  • PARIOLI. The Parioli area was born as a bourgeoisie''s neighbourhood and during the fascism it was destinanted to the regime''s hierarchy and to the state employees. Nowadays is considered one of the most "chic" areas of Rome. Is a completely residential area, quiet and very well connected to the city centre, which is only one metro station away or even after a lovely walk trhough the greens of Villa Borghese.

  • PRATI. Prati district is very close to the Vatican and to Monte Mario.
    It is a very central area and it is characterized by a lot of offices, shopping streets and some beautiful little churches, such as S. Gioacchino. In this area you can also find the Astronomical observatory, the Olympic Stadium and the Foro Italico

  • TRASTEVERE. Trastevere (« across the Tiber ») is one of the most characteristic and nice districts in central Rome. It is a lively area above all at night thanks to restaurants and bars very popular among the tourists. In this area you can find the church of S. Maria in Trastever and the Tiberina island is connected to Trastevere by the Cestio bridge. The gianicolo hill is very close and from there you can enjoy a wonderful sight of Rome
  • SAN GIOVANNI. This area, which take its name from the beautiful "Basilica San giovanni in Laterano" and "Laterano''s Palace" is known for its nice streets full of shops, bars and restaurants. If you are looking for entertainment, there is a large choice of cinemas, theatres and clubs. For green''s lovers, San Giovanni has many parks where to go for a walk and relax.
  • FLAMINIO. Situated in the North side of Rome, Flaminio is one of the most luxuriant area of the city with numerous parks. It is not too far from the Olimpic Stadium, the Foreign Minister, CONI and Auditorium. The city centre is a few kilometres far away but you can easily get to the tourist attractions of the city (Vaticano, Piazza Navona and Piazza di Spagna, Colosseo...) by public transportation. Near the flat there are lots of shops, restaurants, banks, bars and parkings

  • TIBURTINO. The district of Tiburtino, which was created at the beginning XX century, is situated in the Eastern part of the capital of Italy near the centre and is considered an industrial pole, with infrastructure and services. It is very near the district of S.Lorenzo with the homonymous basilica of the University of La Sapienza and of Porta Tiburtina. The underground connections to the centre are excellent.
  • TESTACCIO. Testaccio is one of the oldest area of Rome, and it is very close to the main turistic attractions. Between the first and the third Century A.C., Testaccio was the port of the ancient rome where used to arrive merchandize coming from ancient Ostia''s port. Nowadays, Testaccio is famous for its night life with many bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs. Every morning there is a tradicional market at open air.
  • MONTEVERDE NUOVO. Apartment is located in a residential area (Monteverde Nuovo), few minutes on foot from Pamphili park. Via Jenner is a commercial street with many shops and restaurants. There is bus line 44 that goes directly to Piazza Venezia and other buses and trams that link to other major places in Rome (St. Peter, Termini Central Railways Station, Largo Argentina, EUR, etc.).
  • PANTHEON. The Pantheon is one of the places of most turistical interest. It''s a temple dedicated to all the divinities and it''s, for sure one of the best mantained monuments. At its interior the graves of important Italian history personalities are kept (Raffaello, Vittorio Emanuele II). In this area you can find the church of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva and one of the best private art collections, the Galleria Doria Pamphili.
  • VILLA BORGHESE. Close to Porta Pia and two big green areas the parks of Villa Ada and Villa Borghese. In both parks you may visit many relevant monuments. Nearby there also the Neptune’s spas from the Roman Times. In this part of the city you may easily find banks, post office as well as supermarkets. The neighbourhood is quite lively with restaurants, pizzerias, and bars. There’s also a place where you may play bowling. You can easily reach the centre as well as the rest of the city by bus or by tram. Close there are also two metro stations.
  • PIAZZA NAVONA. Piazza Navona is one of the most famous and for sure, the most beautiful of Rome''s numerous squares. Another thing to see is the baroque church of Sant Agnese in Agone. Piazza Navona is situated in the historic center of Rome, west of the Pantheon. It is one of Rome''s typical squares, with many outdoor cafes, restaurants and night clubs in the neighborhood.

  • VIA VENETO.The Via Veneto area is part of the city centre and thanks to the Felllini''s movie "La Dolce Vita" it is well known in the world with its cafes and restaurants. Piazza Barberini with the Berninis fountains is about 5 minutes walking distance. Nearby you''ll also find the huge green parks of Villa Borghese with its impressive art galleries or many important churches like Santa Maria della Vittoria, San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, Sant''Andrea al Quirinale and the ancient roman Thermae Diocleziani in Santa Maria degli Angeli
  • PRENESTINO.The Penestino district is located in the eastern part of Rome. Is 4 kilometres from the center and is very well connected by the “Roma –Atac Urban Bus” that in 20 minutes will bring you to Termini Station. At Termini Station it’s possible to take the two lines of the underground (Line A and line B), the other Urban Trains and several buses and trams that will permit you to reach any part in Rome, not considering that from Termini Station you can walk to the main tourist sites of Rome.
    In the Prenestino district it’s possible to find: restaurants, pizzeria, supermarkets, internet cafè, bakeries, pharmacies and also a shopping center.
  • STAZIONE TERMINI. The Roma Termini rail station is one é of the principal station in Italy and represents an important point of reference for tourists and travellers. It offers innumerable services (like the Forum Termini, a large shopping center below the station) and is situated in the historical center of the city, near the Basilica of Santa Maria MAggiore, the Teatro dell''Opera and the Palace of the Exhibitions

  • SALARIO. North from the centre, this neighbourhood is named after the Via Salaria, the road that was used by the Romans to transport salt from Ostia to the interior. The most important antique monument in the area is the Lucilio Peto’s Mausoleum. Salario is near the residential neighbourhood of Parioli and it has many green areas. There is the Nemorense Park, but the most famous is definitely the Villa Ada Park, one of the largest parks in the city. In Villa Ada there are also many interesting buildings from different periods, like for example the Villa Reale or the Tempio di Flora, from the 18th Century. During the summer many concerts and shows take place here. In this neighbourhood you may find the historical disco Club Piper, where many famous artists started their careers (e.g Lucio Battisti, Patty Pravo). The neighbourhood is well served by public transport to other areas and to the city centre by buses, the metro and trams.
  • AURELIO. Aurelio is a strategic area for all those tourists who wish to be connected to the interesting sites of the city and to stay at a suburb full of every kind of services. This district takes its name from the ancient Via Aurelia, the main artery connecting Rome with Spain.
    Nowadays it comprehends the beautiful Villa Pamphili with its big garden, where you can jogging, take a break or simply have a walk.

  • FONTANA DI TREVI. The location is one of the most central in the capital, is in fact just few meters away from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. It is a marvellous location for those who want to visit Rome by foot. With a short stroll you will find yourself in the street where the movie “La Dolce Vita” was shot.

  • ESQUILINO. The Esquilino district is one of the historical districts and one of the seven “Roman hills”. It`s full of historical and artistic monuments such as the Coliseum, the Imperial Forums and the Baths of Diocletian. There are also many restaurants and shops nearby. Easquilino is connected with other districts by two metro lines and buses. The Termini train station is at a walking distance.

  • UNIVERSITA'' LA SAPIENZA.In this area, obviously well known for its high concentration of young people, you can find the University of Rome « La Sapienza », placed in the university Campus. The district of San Lorenzo is not far and it is a place where many students, romans and tourists spend long and funny nights.
  • CAMPO DEI FIORI. Campo de’ Fiori is the square where death executions took place for a long time during the Inquisition period.
    Nowadays it’s one of the most popular squares in town, for its traditional daily market and for the numerous shops, pizzerias and restaurants. At walking distance you can visit Piazza Farnese, Via Giulia, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. You can also easily reach the Trevi Fountain, San. Pether’s Cathedral, the Foro Romano and the Colosseum
  • COLOSSEO. It’s one of the most important zones of Rome for its historical value, there the visitor will be fascinated by the numerous archeological sites, as if sent back to the Ancient Rome. The Coliseum, the Arc of Costantino and Foro Romano will capture the interest of the tourist. Not too far from Colle Palatino, it is possible to visit the Domus Aurea and in Fori Imperiali street discover the ancient Traianeous markets, the Caeesar’s Foro and Piazza Venezia
  • APPIO LATINO. The "Appio Latino" district was born in 1909. Its centre is "Kings of Rome''''s square"a square full of boutiques where you can do shopping. Bbetween the most important monuments around this area, you can admire Porta San Ssebastiano and the famous "Aurelian walls". The district is connected very well to the rest of the city, thanks to the underground. You cannot miss "parco della Caffarella" and "Villa dei Quintini".

  • SAN LORENZO. San Lorenzo district is one of the most representative of the city and got its name from “Basilica di San Lorenzo fuori le mura". Altough it was one of the areas that suffered bombardment during the II World War, it is nowadays considered a student and young district (it is situated next to University La Sapieza), with lots of shops, bars, restaurants, cinemas and pizzerias. Also there are good connection with the underground, the railway station (Stazione Termini) and buses.
  • PIGNETO. The Pigneto district is located in the east-southern part of Rome.Is less than 4 kilometres from the center and is very well connected by underground line A as well as the "Roma -Pantano Urban Train" and buses to Termini Station from where you will reach any part in Rome, not considering that from Termini Station you can walk to the main tourist sites of Rome.
    In the district it’s possible to find: restaurants, pizzeria, supermarkets, internet cafè, banks, bakeries, pharmacies, open- air markets in a lively, real "roman" contest.


  • ROCCA DI PAPA.This small village is in splendid panoramic position on a side of the Mount Cavo, with 681 m of height, and is an holiday place. Is the only village of the Castelli Romani that has conserved perfectly the medieval style. Pope Eugene III used to spent here some of his holidays, and that’s why the name is Rocca di Papa.
    The village is 20 km away from the centre of Rome (approximately one hour by bus or metro)


  • PIAZZA DI SPAGNA. Piazza di Spagna. is surely one of the most visited and well-known in Rome, with the famous staircase of Trinitá dei Monti, Barcaccia Fountain and the house-museum of the English poet John Keats. In the nearby you can also find the marvellous Pincio terrace with its wonderful view to the city, the Pantheon and the Coliseum, together with Via Veneto shops, bars and restaurants. Excellent public transportation through underground (Spagna) and buses.
  • PARCO LEONARDO-FIUMICINO. District of Fiumicino situated just one stop far from the airport of Rome, Fiumicino, is connected to Rome by an urban train that leaves every 15 minutes and will take you to the city center in just 15 minutes. The beach is only five minutes far as well as the archaeological site and the cultural sites of Ostia. The shopping center Leonardo, in the immediate neighbourhood, is the biggest one in Italy with its 200 important shops, a cinema with 24 halls, bowling, varied attractions, concerts, restaurants and varied coffee shops arranged in this very agreeable system of squares as the area is completely pedestrian. Ideal to visit the capital and, at the same time, live in a quieter and relaxing contest.
  • PIAZZA BOLOGNA. Around the Piazza Bologna (Bologna-Square) is one of the most popular residential districts of the capital of Italy. Only a few metro stops from the "Bologna-Square" (the metro station is directly under the square), there is the Roman-Old town, the historical Centre, the Colosseum and the more interesting districts of Rome to visit. As well as the main railway station “Termini”, which provide local and long-distance connections, as well as those to the airport, you will have many shopping options within walking distance in the neighbourhood. There is also a small market with fresh fruits and vegetables. For a nice meal, you could also go to one of the traditional Tratorias or Pizzerias.
  • VILLA ADA/TRIESTE.District Trieste is the name of the seventeenth district of Rome and it is located in the north area of the town. The district is a residential area close to the centre with many parks and interesting archaeological and artistic sites. In this area there are two shopping centres, one is close to the avenues of Eritrea and Libya and the other one is close to via Pò/via Salaria.
    The district takes the name from the residence of the Royal Family of Savoia (the villa is actually called Ada) in 1872, and then changed to the name Trieste. The area of villa Ada is a park of about 170 hectares, is open to the public and is bigger than Villa Borghese. There are numerous Christian catacombs of Sant'' Ilaria, of Trasone of Jordan.



  • DISTRICT DELLE VITTORIE . Distict of the Victories is the name of the fifteenth district of Rome. It is located in the north area of the town, at the back of the Aureliane Wall and the River Tiber. The zone is peaceful, but also lively. It is a paradise for shopping, particularly via Ottaviano and avenue Giulio Caesar. Close by you will also find the famous Via Cola di Rienzo (District Prati). Nearby there are buses from Clodio Square and Angelic Avenue that take you to all parts of Rome. You can reach San Pietro, the Vatican Museum and the metro station “Otoviano” within 15 minutes on foot. From Ottaviano, you can easily reach the Square of Spain (Plaza España) and the heart of old Rome (only 3 metro stations away). Mountain Mario is also located close by
  • OSTIA. This neighbourhood is 30km away from the city Center. Its major expansion took place in the 60’s: nowadays Ostia is known for being a tourist place with beaches, a new sport port and the green area .of Castelfusano park. Not far away there is the Ancient Ostia, the port of ancient Rome. For those interested in archaeology is definitely worth a visit. In the area there are restaurants, shops, bars and clubs. It is an ideal place for those who want to visit Rome, but at a same time enjoy a quieter surrounding and stay close to the sea. Ostia is well connected to the city Center with buses and a railway line.
  • PIAZZA DEL POPOLO. One of the famous city''s squares, known for the Flaminio Obelisc, and the church of Santa Maria del Popolo. Privileged venue where events and concerts take place, from here you may start a classic walk through Via del Corso and the commercial areas of Via del Babuino and Via Condotti. You can easily reach other important monuments, such as the Fontana di Trevi and Trinità dei Monti. Close there is the park of Villa Borghese and the Pincio hill, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the city. In the neighbourhood there are many bars and restaurants. It is well connected to other areas and the city center: there are buses, metro, and trams.
  • GIANICOLO. Gianicolo is a quiet residential area in Monteverde Vecchio, fee minutes away from Villa Pamphili and Villa Sciarpa.
    At the bottom of the Gianicolo lies Trastevere area and not too far you can find important historical marks: San Pancrazio Cathedral with the catacombs, Fontanone and San Pietro in Montorio Church. On the top, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the capital, there’s a cannon shooting on midday every day.
    Carini Street is an avenue with lots of shops, where you can also catch bus 75 to Termini Train Station or bus 44 which takes you to Venice Square, together with other buses or tramways going to the most important attractions (San Pietro, Largo Argentina, Eur…).

  • CASALPALOCCO-AXA. Casalpalocco-AXA is a district situated 18 kms far away from the centre of Rome and 8 kms from Ostia beach and it is considered a calm residential area. Places of special interest in the nearby: the archeological excavations of Ostia, with its Roman theather, the beach of Ostia, EUR district, Castelfusano pine forest. All these places can be reached easily by bicycle.
    Good connections to the subway of Rome and to Ostia with bus service.. If you have a car, you can get to Fiumicino airport in about 15-20 minutes (15 km), to the Capitol in 30-40 minutes and to Ostia beach in 10 minutes.

  • TIVOLI. Tivoli is a small and old town 25 Km faraway from Rome city centre.
    Here you can find many tracks of the Roman Empire, such as “Villa Adriana” which was built by the homonymous emperor starting from 126 b.C or the thermal Baths of Tivoli and the and Plauzi Sepulchre.
    It is also worth visiting “Villa d’Este”, “Villa Gregoriana” and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, together with Bleso Amphitheatre and the wonderful “Rocca Pia” which is situated in the entrance of the city. You can reach Rome historical centre thanks to the train connections (Tivoli-Rome line) in about 25 minutes or catching the bus.

  • MARINA DI SAN NICOLA. Marina di San Nicola is part of Ladispoli, a seaside resort situated about 35 Km away from the historic city centre of Rome. Here you will be able to find any kind of service and infrastructure, as well as supermarkets, bars, shops, markets, tennis court.
    In the area you can also visit several archaeological excavations, with relics of the 1st century b.C of the Augustan period.
    Every 20 minutes there’s a train leaving from the close stations of Ladispoli or Palidoro, which will bring you in 25 minutes directly to San Peter. In 30 minutes by bus you can also reach Irnerio Square, where you will find the underground connections to the centre of Roma and its tourist attractions.

  • MONTEVERDE VECCHIO. Monteverde Vecchio district is situated in the western part of Rome on the Janiculum Hill, near two of the most beautiful parks in Rome, Villa Doria Pamphili and Villa Sciarra. The district is a quiet residential area, easily reachable thanks to the excellent connections (bus, tramway, underground) from the historic city centre and from the main tourist attractions.
    The area is situated between Carini Street, just off the well-known Door Pancrazio, and Ponte Bianco (White Bridge). The centre of the district is Rosolino Pilo square, where you can find the Church "Regina Pacis".

  • TALENTI. Talenti is a district situated in the northern part of Rome.
    In the neighbour there are still numerous relics of necropolis and mausoleums, even if nowadays it can be considered a residential zone, with many green areas (Talenti, Aguzzano and Marcigliana parks) and commercial poles.
    Recently the largest commercial mall in Europe has been built, called Porta di Roma, with 150.000m2, 220 shops, hotels, tennis court, bars, discotheques and areas of each type and for each age range.
    Good connections to the city centre and the tourist attractions of the capital, with public bus, train and underground.
  • BOCCEA. Aquest barri es troba a nord-oest del centre de la ciutat. Aquesta és una zona que oferix tot tipus de serveis, així com botigues, tavernes, restaurants i bars. A prop, una mica més cap al nord, es troba l''hospital Policlínico Universitari "Agostino Gemelli". En aquesta zona podeu visitar la Vila Carpegna i la Vila Vesci. El barri està molt bé comunicat amb el centre de la ciutat i també amb la resta de les àrees d''interès. Amb metro es pot arribar a l''Estació de Termini en menys de 10 minuts. També hi ha diverses parades d''autobusos públics.
