• BARRA.His charm resides in his sunsets and in his beach attractions and it’s considered as one of the best urban beaches in the world. On one side of the seafront there is a considerable colonial fort, and on the other one a beautiful church that dominates a hill. The church and the fort, delimit a space enriched by small bounce of native fishermen diving beside the stone dock and young people playing volleyball, tennis or football. This fresh explosion of life is what makes the place a special attraction. A power that contrasts with the perpetual calm of the sea, collected in a bay. • STELLA MARIS.Stella Maris is a district where the architecture developed in the centre of Salvador changes in favour of a small group of 2-3 floor recently built houses by the side of enormous beaches with small restaurants (barracas), where it is possible to find fresh fish and drink the famous “caipirinhas”.
  During the weekends and the festivities the most well known barracas attract bathers also after the sunset, who sometimes organizes real parties. Stella Maris is 30 minutes faraway from the city centre and 10 minutes from the international airport. You will have furthermore everything you need: supermarkets, shops, banks, bus stop, internet cafes etc..
