- CENTAR In the heart of the city, close to Diocletian palace and to the seafront, this neighbourhood is ideal if you want to visit the old town and the most important monuments. You may as well find the main market, typical restaurants, bars and shops.
- FIRULE Close to sandy beaches,10 –15 minutes walking from the city center, in the neighbourhood you’ll easily find shops, restaurants, bars and clubs, as, for example the O’Hara Club. In the area there are also a sport center with the waterpolo and tennis club. For sailing lovers there is the Zenta marina
- VELI VAROŠ . At the foot of Marjan hill, close to the Matejuška port, from here you''ll easily get to the most important touristical attractions, e.g. the Diocletian Palace. The beaches and the Split’s ACY marina are at 10-15 minutes walking distance. In this neighbourhood you’ll also find shops and restaurants.Easy access to train station and ferry terminal.
- SKALICE. A quiet neighbourhood with more green areas than the city centre. The beaches and the bars are within a 15 minute walking distance. This part of the city isn’t a shopping area, but the downtown and the Dioclecian Palace is less than 1 km to the south. The commercial area is a 10 minute walk away. However in the neighbourhood you may also find restaurants and bars. Close by you can visit the Archaeological Museum and not far away you will find the Poljud bay, where several sport ports are based. Sport lovers will have at their disposal tennis courts and soccer playgrounds. From here you can easily get to the Marjan hill’s park, where you can enjoy a nice walk and views of the city.
- STOBREČ. This area is 5km from the city centre. It’s a peninsula and is the ideal destination for those who want to spent a holiday close to the sea, but at the same time have easy access to the city of Split and visit it’s monuments. In the area there are many restaurants with typical Dalmatian kitchen as well as shops and bars. Close to the beaches, you may also visit a tenis playground or play golf. From here start the excursions to mount Mosor and Šolta and Brač islands.
- SPINUT. This neighbourhood is located north from the city centre, which can be reached by a pleasant walk. It is a quiet area, ideal for those who are looking for a relaxing holiday. The Park of Mount Marjan is very close, which makes the area suitable for walks and bike tours. Bikes can be hired and the beaches can also be easily reached. The famous beach Bačvice is a 25 minute walk away. For lovers of sailing, there is the Marina Spinut, where you can hire boats for shorter or longer cruises that will allow you to discover the beautiful Croatian islands. In the area there are shops and bars and you may also find restaurants and supermarkets less than 1 km away.
- BOL. It is a neighbourhood located in the north-eastern part of the city. It is a residential area with low buildings and small houses, with green areas. From here you can walk to the old town. All the most important monuments are at a distance of 1km. Walking 10-15 minutes you can reach the beaches as well as the nightlife area, the cinemas and theatres. Also the central market is not too far away. In the area there is a bank, a post office, bars, restaurants and shops. A pleasant walk through the streets of this neighbourhood will give you the chance to discover the modern and at the same time the traditional part of the city.
- ŽNJAN. South-east from the city center it is a residential neighbourhood as well as a resort area with apartments and hotels. The beaches that are very close are used by local population, as well by tourists. From here you can easily reach all the most important monuments by a pleasent walk or by bus, but at the same time enjoy the proximity of the seafront. There are also children and beach volley grounds playgrounds At 10 minutes walking distance you will find shops, a big supermarket, bars and resturants. Not far away away there is the Marina Zenta with more than 350 berths
- ŠKRAPE: Area located 20 minutes away walking from the old town in the city centre, and 5 minutes away by car. Even if it is located in the city, it is a very quiet and pleasant neighbourhood, constituted most of all by private houses. It is very good supplied with a super market, a green market, banks and pharmacies. Also, here are located two of the biggest hospitals in the nearby, many good restaurants and sport areas (basketball and tennis). Concerning the transport there is an excellent and quick bus connection, through the main Street Poljička you can get easily to the city centre.. With a short 15 minutes walk, you can reach and famous sandy beach Bačvice.
