  • TOOMPEA. Toompea hill is a symbol of Tallin end it represents the history of the city.
    Situated near the city centre (about 3km away) the limestone hill offers a nice panoramic view on Tallin, about 20-30 meters high.
    On Toompea you will find Toompea castel, originally built in wood by residents in 10th-11th century. After the battle against the Danish, won in June 1219, they named the castle Castrum Danorum and they started to renovate it in stones, with high walls and towers (the highest tower is the “Pikk Hermann” with its 48m).
    Today it is the house of the Parliament of Tallin. Just in front of the castle there is the orthodox Cathedral “Alexander-Nevski” and nearby the church “Toom kirik”. All this attractions, as well as the museum, are worth being visited. After the castle, it is recommended to reach the city by a nice walk in the nature.
  • KADRIORG. Though it’s only a few minutes’ walk from the centre, this quiet area is a world unto itself, a secluded neighbourhood made up of large areas of forested park. It’s also home to a number of intriguing 19th- and 20th-century villas. The jewel in Kadriorg’s crown however is the Kadriorg Palace, a magnificent, Baroque structure surrounded by manicured gardens and fountains. This was the centre of an estate that Russian tsar Peter the Great established as a family retreat in the early 18th century. In fact, it was Peter himself who was responsible for creating Kadriorg. These days Kadriorg is also associated with art, since it is home to some of the best art museums in the country. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the centre and also trams N°1 and 3 will get you there.
  • Our neighbourhood is privat house area, it''s about 10 km from center, bus comes from center to our station Tuule, where you have to walk about 200 m to our place. The sea is just 250 m from our place and you have a beatiful view to our Old Town over the sea. The beach starts after 1Km. There are lots of good walking paths and bycicle ways around, and you can find pubs and supermarkets.

  • VANALINN. This is the lower part of the old town medieval neighbourhood, included in the Unesco’s World Heritage list. Close there is the Raekoja Plats square with the famous gothic Town Hall. In the neigbourhood there are also the catedral Niguliste and the Linnamuuseum museum, on Tallin’s history from it’s origins. The area is sorrounded by parks and green areas.

  • CENTRE. To the historic heart of the city is located the hill of Toompea, with its houses and its medieval avenues. The lower city spreads itself foot of the hill, protected by the remainders of a wall of the city. Around the city wall are located many green, well maintained parks very nice to take a walk. The Superior City is the ideal place to go for shopping , visit its wonderful museums, and go to the restaurants. This zone contains the places of the market and the principal churches of the city. The public transport is very easy to use: the trolleys, bus, and tram working seven days a week.
  • PIRITA. Pirita is one of the residential areas of Tallin. It is situated at the edges of the Baltic Sea, in summer is a very pleasant place to have a walk and with many interesting places. Pirita Klooster is a monastery of the Order of Holy Brigit and the most important in the Baltic states. It surrounded by a cemetery, and it is the entrance to a wonderful forest of conifers. Nowadays just its walls are conserved.
    Pirita gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beach and a historic city. From the bay you can have a look to the incredible views of the old city and the port. You will be able to walk along the river and find narrow little roads through the forest or popular picnic areas. Buses will carry you everywhere in the city.
