  • URKABUSTAIZ. Urkabustaiz is a town and municipality located in the province of Álava, historic territory of the autonomous community of the Basque Country, northern Spain. Its capital is Vitoria-Gasteiz and is the widest and less populated of the three Basque communities. It is a quiet and still virgin area, but really close to interesting cities like Bilbao, La rioja and also San Sebastian.
Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bilbao, situated 25 km and 35 km faraway from Urkabustaiz, are emblematic for their museums, but also for their gastronomy and their amazing small villages.
In Urkabistaiz you can go walking, bycing and enjoy the mountain, or take advantage from the golf course, located 5 minutes far from the city. It’s really interesting to visit the local waterfall and reach Orduña, a cute and close village.
  • CENTRE: The historic centre of Vitoria, founded at the end of the XII century, conserves the main part of the architectural and artistic patrimony of the city.
There are guided tours to Medieval Centre and the Four Towers organized by the Office of Tourism, together with some other various visits. It is worth visiting the churches of San Miguel and of San Pedro, the Palace of Villasuso, the Palace of Montehermoso, the tower of San Vicente and the Museum of the Lanterns. Furthermore, the tourist train "Gasteiztxo" (leaving from Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, tour of 40 minutes) is the ideal way to contemplate and enjoy comfortably the urban layout of the city.
