- BORIK. It is 2 km and less than 30 minutes walking distance from the city center. It is a residential neighbourhood as well as a resort area. From here you can easily reach all the most important monuments but at the same time enjoy the proximity of the sea. The closest beach, Borik, is used by local population, as well as hotels guests. It
has many facilities, first aid and lifeguard service, and a swimming pool. Close you will find shops and restaurants. Borik is also a nightlife area: there are pubs and bars. The neighbourhood is well connected to other areas and the city center with buses.
- SMILJEVAC. This is the new Zadar’s residential area. This neighbourhood is characterized by blocks of flats. The old town and ad all the most important monuments are not even 2 km far away and can be easily reached by bus or by walk. Nearby there are the main bus and train stations, shopping mall, supermarkets and grocery stores. The beaches are very close and can be reached by a pleasant walk. This is a quiet area, ideal to spend a nice holiday: not too far away from the city center and quite close to the sea. On the way to the old town you may come across typical restaurants, bars and pubs.
- RIČINE. This neighbourhood lies in the south eastern part of the city, not too far away from all the most important monuments and the old town, that can be easily reached by bus. The beaches are in walking distance. This district is the ideal place to enjoy the daily routine of Zadar''s inhabitants and at the same time have an easy access to all the main points of interest. This is a residential area, but you will anyway find shops, bars and restaurants.
- KOZINO. Located less than 10km away from Zadar''s city centre, this is a quiet, residential area. You can reach walking the uncrowded beaches, while to get to the city centre the best way is to go by car (10 min.), although you can also catch a public bus. In the village you will find small shops and some restaurants. Not very far away there is also a supermarket. A little bit towards north there is the resort area of Petrčane. Kozino is an ideal place for a relaxing and pleasent holiday, that will let you to visit the Zadar''s monuments, or even enjoy a brief stop on the travel along the Dalmatian Coast.
- BIBINJE. It is a picturesque village at less than 10 km from Zadar’s centre, with a peaceful sandy bay and residential areas. The local museum has got an interesting ethnographic collection. In Bibinje you will find all kind of services, a post office, a drugstore, an exchange office. There are shops, a supermarket, as well as many bars and restaurants that serve typical fish and meat dishes. Close there is a large marina with more then 1000 boat berths.
