The Milano-Sanremo Cup to Hit the Streets of Milan Once Again
Just as the buzz of Milan Fashion Week subsides, the city will soon be full with aficionados of a different kind classic cars aficionados. The Milano-Sanremo Cup will be with us once again for the eighth consecutive year, and the city will soon be host to some beautiful examples of classic cars.
The event runs from the 12th to the 14th of March. It all starts at the Autodromo Nazionale di Moza racetrack on Friday the 12th, where drivers get the chance to test drive their classic cars on this world-renowned track. They then head off for the centre of Milan, with the Piazza del Duomo offering the perfect exhibition space. The cars will be paraded in front of the awaiting public, before heading off to Sanremo in a race to the finish line.
The race itself starts on Saturday the 13th of March, where they’ll depart from the Piazza before passing through Pavese, Lomellina and Imperia, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. They arrive in Sanremo late on the 13th and will enjoy hotel stays, lunches and dinners as they go along, culminating in a farewell lunch and prize giving ceremony in Sanremo on the 14th. They even have the chance to head to Monte Carlo on the completion of their journey for a well-deserved casino night.
