BAIRRO ALTO The Bairro alto is located on the opposite hill from the Alfama and is linked to the Baixa via a fashionable shopping street named Garret, where you will find some of Lisbon’s select society shops selling internationally famous brand names alongside with national products.
The Chiado has its own special local cafes,a popular meeting place for its writers and artists.
Apart from walking,there are two other ways to go up Bairro alto from Baixa: the "Elevador de Santa Justa" designed and built by the French architect "Eiffel"or else you can use one of the two "funicular-like" trams.
The Bairro Alto was originally developed in the 16th Century as a residential quarter for traders. Now it has become a centre for nightlife with its many fashionable restaurants, bars and clubs

nous avons choisi cet appart pour le quartier et la petite terrasse, mais la terrasse en super mauvais état, sol en bois pourri, juste 1 tabouret et une chaise ainsi qu´une table bancale
le quartier sympa pas trop éloigné des lieux festifs

El apartemento es "pequeñamente" acojedor, que para 5 personas es suficiente. Está limpio y está en barrio tranquilo y tiene "luz exterior" suficiente.Para los que les guste "trasnochar" tienen el Barrio Alto (barrio de bares y pubs) al lado.
Si son 5 personas, 4 duermen muy bien. Entonces la "5a persona" duerme en un "somier"individual que no es muy cómodo, lo que se puede solucionar poniendo el colchón en el suelo :D.

- die Beschreibung, dass die Wohnung im Viertel Bairro Alto, also in der Altstadt liegt, trifft nicht ganz zu, wenn, dann liegt sie am äußersten Rand des Viertels
