ILE ST LOUIS. Saint Louis island is located in the heart of Paris, in the 4th district, behind the cathedral Notre Dame de Paris. This is one of the two natural islands of the Seine in Paris, together with the island de la Cité. It was originally formed by two little islands: the island of the cows (the name is due to the fact that there were many pasture field) and the island Notre Dame, where the judicial duels during the Middle Age took place.
It is only during the XVII century that the two islands melt together. In this time many beautiful houses were built, today it is still possible to admire splendid private hotels. Five bridges allow the access to this island. It is not served directly by any subway line, the closest stations are Pont Marie and Sully- Morland. Several bus lines also cross the island

La ubicacion es excelente, a un paso de notre dame y el barrio latino, y en un bario encantador, con tiendas a la mano (panaderia, fruteria, etc). El apartamento es comodo y bonito, la persona de contacto amable y puntual. disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadia!
La escalera al altillo es empinada lo que puede dificultar para personas con movilidad limitada. No era nuestro caso, aunque íbamos con un niño pequeño que no podía subir sin la ayuda de un adulto, pero a el le pareció fascinante!

very charming area, near the most beautiful places of Paris! the owner is a very nice person and easygoing! which is nice. Great for persons who want to spend few days in ancient building without staying in an hotel.
the heating system in the second floor could stink once you turn it on but probably it´s not so important since the one in the bottom can easily warm the entire room.

Excelente ubicación y muy tranquilo. El ambiente es acogedor Excelente conexión de transporte y tienes lo básico a la mano: panadería, restaurants, tiendas, supermercado...
Hay evidencia de que el ocupante permanente es fumador. El apartamento huele un poco a cigarro. Si tienes problemas para subir escaleras, o llevas paquetes pesados puede ser inconveniente que esté en un 4to piso.

A lovely setting and very cosy apartment. Loads of fantastic little restaurants within a few minutes walk and beautiful views of the river and Notre Dame just a few streets away. Also very easy to reach on the direct RER line from the airport.
none...It was a lovely place to stay.

Great location and neighboorhoud. The equipment is good and the apartment is small, but has character. Friendy greeting.
The beds are awful. It is juss impossible to have a good nights sleep.

Great location within easy walking distance to many attractions, bakery and cheesery directly opposite. Lots of little shops and restaurants in the street and surrounds. Mathieu was very helpful with things although slow on email reply.
