Apartments near Prague Castle: Unforgettable accommodation in Eastern Europe

In the romantic Bohemian region, in the heart of Europe, Prague is one of the most attractive cities in the world for travellers. Strolling through the streets of the capital of the Czech Republic is like traveling in time to another moment in history. The bridges, the houses, the lampposts, the waters of the Vltava River, and its people make it a picturesque, unrepeatable, and unforgettable place.

In this dream city, there is a construction that stands out from the rest of the architectural wonders. The Prague Castle, an unmistakable symbol of the history of the city. This multifaceted construction dates back to the 9th century, and for a long time it was the residence of the royalty.

It is impressive due to its monumental size, measuring 570 meters long and 130 meters wide, which makes it the largest ancient castle in the world. Currently, the Prague Castle is not only the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic, but also where the crown jewels are kept.

Within the castle complex there is a cathedral, a convent, a basilica, several towers, gardens, a palace, a moat and several art galleries. It is a must-see in this beautiful city, and it can take several days to fully enjoy this beautiful complex. The Prague Castle is so attractive to visitors that almost two million people visit it every year. If you want to enjoy all the beauties and legends located in the centre of the city, we recommend renting an apartment near the Prague Castle to have an unforgettable stay.

Accommodation near Prague Castle

Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. For many travellers, accommodation is not of central importance in their journey. Many young people prioritise low costs, and book hostels where they must share rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common places with many others like them. On the other hand, some tourists go to hotels that best suit their budget, although these are impersonal spaces that tend to be very similar throughout the world. For someone who wants to live the true essence of the city, the best option is to rent an apartment. When renting an apartment in Prague, especially if you do it in the picturesque area near the imposing castle, you can experience the authentic Czech experience in a building like the rest of the locals. Of course, at Only-apartments we have a great variety of properties. We have simple studios for those traveling alone or with their couple, and apartments with one or several rooms for larger groups. There are apartments with different prices and styles, but all of them are fully furnished, and equipped so that you can make the most of your stay in Prague. Not only renting an apartment is the best option for those who want the most real experience, but it is also ideal for those who have the need to be independent and have privacy during the trip. Contrary to what happens in hostels, hotels and bed & breakfasts, in your own apartment will not depend on reception hours, there will be cleaning when you are not there, you will not share a room, bathroom or common spaces , you can have breakfast at any time you want and -this is an advice in which we make special emphasis- you can cook whatever you want. We recommend you visit the local markets and find recipes of typical meals to try them in your fully equipped kitchen. It is the best plan for when you do not want to go out to eat and prefer to spend time at home, contemplating the city from the window or the balcony of your apartment. You will feel like a true local.

How to get to Prague Castle

The Prague Castle is located in a central area of this city, so you can reach it on foot from other important tourist attractions. If you are going to use public transport, the nearest metro stop is Malostranská. However, from this stop you will have to walk uphill for a while. The tram lines 12, and 22 will also bring you to the castle. If you wish to avoid the arduous hike, we recommend you use line 22 and get off at the Pražský hrad stop. The castle is open every day from 9 am to 4 pm and admission to the complex is free. However, you can pay different rates to access different buildings, such as the Royal Palace, the Basilica of St. George or the Daliborka Tower.
