Like all Greek islands, Rhodes is best to visit during summer, when the temperature is hot, the hours of sun are longer, the rain is non-existent and the whole island is open to its visitors. During the winter months, the temperatures stay high but there is some rain, so spring and autumn is also a good time to visit the island, with good weather and more peace and quiet.

Getting around Rhodes

Rhodes airport receives regular and charter flights from all over Europe and it is the easiest way of getting there. You can also reach the island from Greece and other Greek islands via ferry. Public buses are cheap and comfortable although for more flexibility you can rent a car or even better a scooter, since the island’s roads are in good condition.
