Zadar is a city with a rich cultural and history heritage, a city of tourism. Its attractiveness is due greatly to its fantastic natural position in the very middle of the Adriatic coast, and to the five National Parks surrounding it: Plitvice lakes, Paklenica Mountain, the unique Riviera Krka waterfalls, a string of wondrous islands called Kornati and Sjeverni Velebit. Worthy of attention are also the three nature parks: Telašćica, Velebit and Vranjsko jezero.
